Walk Ten at Margam Park 2013

Light up building outdoor floods

We were recently asked to supply site lighting for the Marie Curie event “Walk Ten” at Margam Park. Which saw over 270 people, raise over £400,000 for Marie Curie care.

This unique opportunity saw the sun setting over the Welsh countryside as the walk from the Gothic Castle made its way through farmlands and woodland trails, towards the pulpit viewpoint, with magnificent views. Past the Iron Age Hill Fort, Margam Abbey Church, the Orangery and its beautiful gardens, and back to the Castle.

For “Walk Ten” at Margam Park the equipment supplied included our small outdoor canopy stage, architectural site lighting using 400 Watt MBI lights to illuminate the front and side of the castle in Marie Curie corporate colours of yellow on blue. Power distribution, generators and tower lights to illuminate the walk. We were also able to supply sound equipment from our sister company Stage Sound Services. A front of house PA for the band, and to rally the walkers.

The crew enjoyed being part of this successful evening as much as the walkers, and took pride in another job well done.
